Based on the toy franchise and later the anime series, Zoids - Battle Legends casts the player as one of 17 soldiers with different abilities, controlling one of the giant robots modelled after animals and the dinosaurs. There are 4 main modes: Mission, Zoids Battle, VS and Zoids Fist. In the mission mode the player chooses a side (empire or republic) and fights other giant Zoid robots in different stages, connected by cut-scenes pushing the narrative forward. As an empire soldier, you start as Kouki, a young officer hunting the republicans. On the republican side of things, the game starts with Shomo is search of the Blue Unicorn Team that has gone missing. Most of the modes are fairly identical, but Zoids Fist is played in confined spaces.
X-Men - The Official Game acts as a story bridge between the second and third X-Men movies. In the game, the player takes control of Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler, as they deal with the aftermath of the incident at Alkali Lake. The heroes return to Alkali Lake to recover two stolen Cerebro parts, and find out that an unknown organization is doing a salvage operation on the base. What they uncover reveals to be a threat to all mutants...
In Viewtiful Joe 2, the player takes control of either of the characters Joe or Silvia to complete tasks within each stage, such as defeating enemies and bosses, and solving puzzles. Within Movieworld, Joe has 'VFX Powers' such as Slow (similar to bullet-time), Mach Speed, and Zoom at his disposal to defeat the enemy. He is joined by girlfriend Silvia, who has also acquired VFX powers. However, Silvia has 'Replay', which allows her to record and repeat an event three times in succession, instead of Joe's Mach Speed. The Replay power must be used wisely, as although it allow the player to do three times the amount of damage on an enemy, being hit while using it will incur three times the amount of damage to the player.
Joe is no ordinary man and Viewtiful Joe is no ordinary game. Capcom's new superhero action game mixes funky cartoon-style visuals with classic side-scrolling gameplay and introduces the world's quirkiest million dollar action hero. More than just any ordinary dude, Joe must transform into the ultimate superhero. It's up to you to activate the correct view mode like 'slow' or 'zoom in' in order to clobber your enemies with beautiful style. You can also speed up or slow down your visual effects for even more 'viewtiful' moves. Viewtiful Joe mixes an innovative viewpoint with an amazing stunt-filled action movie universe.
Viewtiful Joe - Red Hot Rumble is different from the previous incarnations, whereas this one takes its gameplay from the Super Smash Bros. series. The game features the main heroes, Joe, Capt. Blue and Silvia, along with many others as well as a group of villains fighting each other in a series of battles in multiple environments, such as a construction site, a warehouse and a wrestling ring to name a few.
