Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Essentials was the first Splinter Cell game to be developed exclusively for a portable entertainment system. Taking place one year after the events of Splinter Cell: Double Agent, the game follows former Third Echelon Splinter Cell agent Sam Fisher as he recalls events in his life after being captured by Third Echelon operatives.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Essentials Story:In January 2009, Sam Fisher, a former NSA agent-turned-fugitive, sneaks into a Washington, D.C. cemetery where his daughter, Sarah, who has been recently killed in a car accident, is buried. Fisher is arrested at this grave site, taken into custody and interrogated at the NSA's headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Essentials (v2) (M5) takes you into the Splinter Cell saga, uncovering untold stories of Sam Fisher's past through all-new missions and objectives. The game features all the weapons and gadgets from the Splinter Cell franchise, as well as new ones exclusive to the Portable. Splinter Cell Essentials supports Wi-Fi multiplayer game modes.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - Essentials (M5) is a hand-held 'sequel' to Splinter Cell: Double Agent, with a story that explains the events after Double Agent and revisits previous missions from the original game's, as well as flashback missions of his Navy SEAL day's, such as a mission in the jungle of Columbia back in 1992. In total there are nine missions to play in the story modes as well as three unlockable bonus missions.
Syphon Filter - Logan's Shadow uses all the tricks in the book, with Logan's task made simpler thanks to a number of gadgets, weapons and techniques available to him. For example, using boxes and walls to duck and cover or humans themselves to create a shield against incoming bullets can save you both health and time in the middle of the action. New interactive moments, such as unlocking doors or moving heavy items out of the way, require the right timing of button presses to pull off the moves. You will also go underwater to explore the depths of the ocean in order to take down the enemy and solve the mystery that could tear the world apart.
Syphon Filter - Logan's Shadow (M7) is played from a third-person perspective. With the Havok physics, enemies and objects react realistically to gunfire and other means of interaction. Logan's Shadow features weapons and gameplay mechanics. These include additions to the cover system such as side-to-side movement, leaning, and blind fire around obstacles and corners, an advanced melee system that allows Gabe to use enemies as human shields, underwater combat, and the ability to command other characters.
In this fifth installment to the Syphon Filter series, you play multiple characters, including Gabe Logan, all who are agents of Precision Strike, a government agency. In Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror single player story mode, standard Rambo tactics won't work. You must use stealth combined with state of the art weapons and melee combat to help uncover a deadly threat to global security, the Dark Mirror project. The game also allows you to replay all missions for special bonus material. The game's online multiplayer mode allows for four different games modes including team and free-for-all deathmatches and two different co-op games.
As with the trilogy and unlike the previous game, the gameplay is a return to the series roots. In Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror (M5), players resume the role of Gabe Logan and occasionally Lian Xing, special operatives for a secret government agency. The non-linear, open-ended feel of the previous game has been reverted to the linear gameplay. Several types of rifles and visors are introduced. Players can now hide against walls and shoot around corners. However, the roll ability is noticeably absent.
Shinobido Homura Story: In the ending years of the Muromachi Bakufu, the Ashikaga shogunate almost fell because of the turmoils. It was a time of war. But the 'Ukota' region was protected from this wave of war by the protection of the 'Asuka Ninjas'. The good times did not last though with the Asuka ninja village almost totally destroyed in an attack. As an Asuka ninja, Gou took on many missions with the aim to exact vengeance, and finally he defeated his arch enemy and took revenge for his compatriots. After that, Gou accepted a new mission. At first, he thought it was just a simple seize mission, but the gears of destiny started to turn again...
The general gameplay is very similar to Shinobido: Way of the Ninja with a few differences. Unlike its predecessor, Shinobido Homura does not feature a mission generator which allowed players to choose an allegiance with a warlord. Instead a map is traversed which lets the player select missions. By completing missions new missions and playable characters are unlocked. Due to the difference in the control scheme compared to Way of the Ninja, Tales of the Ninja only allows four items to be accessed directly.
